Today is the Day and a Give Away

Today is the day that we travel to Market in Texas!  It's the make or break moment.  The moment when all of the t's have been crossed and the i's have been dotted and you have to just trust in all of the work that you've done up until this point.  Something will be forgotten, some detail will have been over looked and that's OK...because we're going to market!

For this special occasion, I'm launching two new patterns.  To share the joy, I'm going to be giving away one of each of those patterns here on my blog.

Let me introduce Mustache Love...
Everyone that has come across this quilt has fallen in love with it.  It was so much fun to vary the fabric and textures on the mustaches.  By the way, I used Robert Kaufman corduroy as my stop border and my binding - let me tell you, it was as smooth as butter!

Also joining the party is Sweet Ride...

This one is just so sweet! From the background blocks to the bike silhouette, I'm in love.

In order to win a copy of one of these patterns just leave a comment. A winner will be chosen the Friday after market.

If you go to Market, be sure to stop by our booth #2253.  I'll be the one with mustache's on my finger nails (if they last that long!)

What Day is It?

Yesterday, I asked my son what day it was.  He told me the 16th...no really, is it Monday or Tuesday? Then today as I was sending out a text message about bunco, I found myself thinking tomorrow is Thursday, right?

It's all such a flurry of confusion.  It could be that I have this on my mind.

Or that I'm making these

for her

or this to travel in style

to Market to promote this book and to launch my new patterns.

Ok, back to work...
I actually made this sample for Emily awhile ago, today I'm working on a different one for her, but you get the picture;)

Hello October

It's so nice to see you again!  With your cooler days, your chilly nights and your beautiful colors. I do have to admit that I was somewhat surprised when I looked at the calendar this morning and you had already arrived. Maybe some chocolate chip, pumpkin muffins are in order.

I tossed around the idea of an orange sun, jack-o-lantern style, but then remembered that I wasn't going with holiday themes.  So here is my nod to October, Hello Sun Style.
